I love a classic pina colada. It’s sweet and bursting with delicious pineapple coconut flavor. I decided to experiment a little and try adding some full-fat coconut milk along with the cream of coconut, and the results were fabulous! You won’t regret making this summer drink recipe.

  • Rum: I prefer to use a high quality white rum to make this sweet drink.

Pineapple: Instead of using canned pineapple juice, you can use a juicer and make fresh juice instead.

  • serving glasses – I like to use hurricane glasses for this drink 

🔪 How to Make Whipped Pina Colada Recipe With Coconut Milk

Making this piña colada with coconut milk is so simple. Just follow the instructions below and you will have a sweet drink in no time at all.

Step 1: Make the pineapple whipped cream

Add 1/4 cup of pineapple juice and the heavy whipping cream to a medium bowl and beat with a hand mixer until soft peaks form. This should take about 4-5 minutes. Set aside.

Step 2: Add everything but the rum to the blender

Add the coconut cream, coconut milk, pineapple juice, sugar and ice to a large blender.

Step 3: Blend until smooth

Blend until the ice is crushed and ingredients are combined.

Pour into serving glasses and top with rum. 

Step 5: Top with whipped cream

Top with a dollop of pineapple whipped cream if desired.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup Coconut Cream
  • 1 1/2 cups Coconut Milk
  • 1/2 cup Pineapple Juice
  • 1/4 cup White Sugar or more to taste
  • 2 cups Ice
  • 3 ounces Rum optional

Optional Pineapple Whipped Cream Topping:

  • 1/4 cup Pineapple Juice
  • 2/3 cup Heavy Whipping Cream 35%
