Easy Air Fryer Eggs Recipe

I don’t know about you, but I love to make weekend breakfast spreads for my family. I kick things off with a skillet of bacon and a griddle full of fluffy buttermilk pancakes. However, this doesn’t leave me with much, if any, room for a pan of eggs. And that, my friends, is why cooking eggs in the air fryer is genius.

It also makes perfect eggs! This is going to be your new favorite way to make eggs, I promise.

I’m sharing not just one, not even two, but three easy ways to make air fryer eggs, including hard-boiled eggs, soft-boiled eggs, and fried eggs. Each cooking method is simple and requires no additional oil or butter. even better, they all result in delicious, perfectly cooked eggs to add some extra protein to your day!

First, we’ve got your classic hard-boiled egg for making egg saladclassic deviled eggs, or to store in the fridge. You won’t believe how easy they are to make in the air fryer!

Then, we have soft boiled eggs, which have jammy yolks that make them an excellent addition to bowls of ramen, rice, or served with toast. These cook the same way hard-boiled eggs are, but they spend a little less time in the air fryer.

Finally, we have a breakfast classic—fried eggs. You’ll need to have an air fryer large enough to accommodate a small pan for this recipe. My family loves fried eggs in breakfast sandwiches or served on a plate of crispy hash browns. (Runny egg yolks are the best pairing with hash browns!)

Whichever egg recipe you choose, I know you’re going to love it with the addition of air fryer eggs!

How to Make Air Fryer Eggs (3 Ways)

Hard Boiled Eggs

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 275 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes. You can use aluminum foil to line the air fryer to cook the eggs. But don’t overdo it and cover all the baskets. The foil could restrict the airflow, causing the eggs to undercook!
  2. Place four eggs in the air fryer basket. Then, cook them for 13 to 15 minutes.
  3. While the eggs cook, prepare a bowl of ice water. Once the eggs cook completely, submerge them immediately into cold water. Let the air fryer hard-boiled eggs cool completely, and peel.

Soft Boiled Eggs

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 275 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes.
  2. Arrange four eggs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook them for 10 to 11 minutes.
  3. While the eggs cook, fill a bowl with ice water. Remove the eggs from the basket, and transfer them to the ice bath to cool. Cool completely before peeling. This makes them easy to peel!

Fried Eggs

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes.
  2. Generously coat a baking pan that fits into your air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Crack two eggs into the bottom of the pan, keeping them as far apart as possible. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Air fry for 3 to 4 minutes or until the yolks reach your desired consistency.

Serving Suggestions

Eggs go well with breakfast favorites like Bisquick Waffles, Banana Pancakes, and Brioche French Toast Casserole. Use hard-boiled eggs to make a variety of recipes like egg salad, potato salad, or deviled eggs.

Try soft-boiled eggs or fried eggs in a bowl with Instant Pot rice and stir-fried veggies for an Asian-inspired meal.

How to Store Leftover Air Fryer Eggs

  • Store hard-boiled eggs in their shells. They’ll keep in the refrigerator for up to a week, making them great for meal prep.
  • Store soft-boiled eggs unpeeled in the refrigerator for up to two days.
  • Store fried eggs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat them on the stovetop or in the microwave until they reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

Quick Tip

Don’t overfill the air fryer basket. The air needs to circulate all around the eggs to cook them evenly. If you overcrowd the basket, the air won’t flow correctly, meaning your eggs won’t cook!

Also, note that the cooking times will vary depending on how you’re cooking your eggs, how many eggs you’re making, and your air fryer. So, be sure to keep a close eye on the eggs as they cook!
