  • 1 cup (130 g) whole wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup (240 ml) almond milk
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (or other vegetable oil)
  • vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together almond milk and apple cider vinegar, stir to combine. Set aside for 5-7 minutes to curdle to get a vegan buttermilk. Add oil and vanilla extract.
