Health Benefits of a Peach Green Smoothie

There are only four ingredients in this powerhouse beverage – peaches, spinach, peach juice and milk. But those four ingredients pack a powerful nutrient punch!

According to this Medical News Today article, peaches help prevent obesity-related diseases and cancer. In addition, they promote skin, eye, and heart health.

Spinach is a great source of potassium, magnesium, iron, antioxidants and protein. For the 7 years my daughter was a vegetarian, spinach was part of her daily diet because it was the easiest way to get all of these essential nutrients.

And I’m sure you’re well aware of the health benefits of milk. Just in case you aren’t though – it’s one of the best sources of calcium, which is essential for our bone health and also reduces our risk of strokes.

So don’t be fooled by the lack of ingredients in this smoothie. It’s simple on purpose. You can whip this Peach Green Smoothie any morning and reap all the health benefits of these simple ingredients!

How to Make This Peach Green Smoothie

This Peach Green Smoothie is super easy to make.

Start with peaches (I use frozen peaches so I don’t have to dilute with ice cubes).

What I Use to Blend My Smoothies

Obviously, you can use any blender to make a smoothie. However, having gone through 4 blenders in the same number of years, I finally invested in one that I love. I’ve been using it for the past 3 years without any trouble and expect I’ll get many more years of smoothie joy out of it.

ninja mega kitchen system blender and food processor

I have the Ninja Mega Kitchen System. It’s both a blender and food processor.

Even better, it comes with two single-serving blender cups that I can blend in and drink out of too. That means less time between blending and enjoying my smoothie. Plus, fewer dirty dishes!

If you don’t need (or don’t want to store) the extra accessories, Ninja also makes a stand alone full-size blender and a version made just for single-serving smoothies.
