How to Make Italian Meatball Sliders

These are the basic steps for making Meatball Italian Sliders. Please refer to the recipe card below for more detailed instructions and the serving size.

STEP 1: PREPPING

Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees f and prepare you baking sheet but lining it with parchment paper or aluminum foil.

STEP 2: TOAST THE ROLLS

Using your finger make a to create a hole big enough for the meatball and brush over the garlic butter mixture, a tablespoon of sauce, and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning or oregano. Bake the rolls for 6-8 minutes.

STEP 3: ADD THE MEATBALLS

Remove the rolls from the oven and add a meatball to each roll, add a spoonful of sauce on each one and top with the mozzarella cheese. bake for 10-15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces Hawaiian rolls, 1 package
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 12 meatballs, frozen or homemade
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Parmesan cheese for garnish
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  • Use your fingers to make a small hole in the center of each roll.
  • In a small bowl mix the garlic powder with the melted butter until well combined.
  • Brush the garlic butter inside the hole and all over the outside of the rolls.
  • Add about a tablespoon of sauce into each roll then bake for 6-8 minutes.
  • Place a meatball in hole of each roll.
  • Spoon more sauce over the top of the meatball.
  • Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the rolls and return to the oven for 10-15 minutes until the meatballs are hot and the cheese is melted.
  • Garnish with parmesan cheese and parsley then serve immediately and enjoy!
