This Thanksgiving Salad is a hearty green salad that goes perfect with Thanksgiving Dinner or any other night of the week!
Loaded with Gala Apples, pomegranate arils, pecans and feta cheese drizzled with a homemade Honey Mustard dressing.
You may be thinking, do people actually serve a salad at Thanksgiving? Well, it is actually more common than you would expect.
About 30% of Thanksgiving tables will have a salad at it. You may be thinking now, what is a good Thanksgiving Salad to serve?
A great Thanksgiving salad is hearty and just as bountiful as the rest of the sides and dishes you serve. A simple green salad goes well, but it is Thanksgiving so let's go all out!
I typically do not put meat on my salad at Thanksgiving, because I want the turkey to be the main focal point of the dinner.
This salad is great and filled with apple slices, pomegranate arils, pecans and feta cheese then topped with a homemade Honey Mustard.
How to make a Thanksgiving Salad:
Start off by coring and slicing your apples. Prepare your spring mix greens in a large bowl, and then spread the apple slices in it.
Next top with the pomegranate, pecans and feta. Toss lightly to get everything mixed well.
Prepare your dressing, and then pour it on top of the salad lightly tossing after the dressing is on it. Serve and enjoy!
Ingredients:
Salad:
- Spring Mix Greens - You could use any salad blend you want.
- Gala Apples - You can use your favorite apple for this recipe.
- Pomegranate Arils
- Feta Cheese
- Pecans - chopped.
Dressing:
- Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Honey
- Dijon Mustard
- Salt
- Pepper
Directions:
Step One - Slice apples into thin slices. Add greens to a salad bowl and top with all salad ingredients.
Step Two - To make your dressing pour all ingredients into a jar and shake to mix. Or place all ingredients into a bowl and whisk.
- Tip: If you mix the dressing in the Mason Jar you can save any leftovers in the refrigerator.
Step Three - Serve salad and drizzle on dressing to taste.
Tips for a great Thanksgiving Salad:
- Use ingredients you love. Add things like dried cranberries, berries, nuts or whatever else you like to put in salads.
- A little dressing goes a long way. You don't need to use a lot of the dressing to cover the salad. A lighter dressing goes great with this salad.
- Do not add the dressing until you are ready to serve. When mixing the dressing with the salad you do not want the salad to get too soggy so mix it in when you are ready to eat it.

- 3 small gala apples (or your favorite apple)

- 2 oz feta cheese
- ½ cup pecans (chopped)
Dressing:
