You will love this delicious oatmeal recipe. It’s easy to make and it will keep you full of energy all day.

This is a stovetop oatmeal recipe. I always prefer the stovetop oatmeal, instead of overnight oats, because it is a much comfy breakfast. And heart warming also.

I used rolled oats for this recipe and I recommend you to do the same. You can also use steel cut oats if you have them, but keep in mind that you need to cook them for approx. 20 minutes. You can also use fine oats or instant oats and they will be ready in less than 5 minutes.

Add your favorite toppings and your breakfast is ready in less than 10 minutes. And this is actually the best part. Cause you can choose from anything you like and you have at the moment in the kitchen. Add fresh fruits, nut butters, frozen fruits, nuts and seeds, vegan chocolate.

My toppings were: red and black currants, expanded quinoa and peanut butter. I always have frozen fruits in the freezer and it’s a good way to store berries and to have them all year around.

Ingredients

1/2 cup rolled oats

1 cup vegan milk

1/2 cup water

1 banana

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder

Instructions

Step 1: mash the banana with a fork in a pot

Step 2: add the rest of ingredients and cook until thickened

Step 3: add your favorite toppings ( mine were red and black currants, peanut butter and expanded quinoa)

Step 4: enjoy
