Easy Taco Sliders

A super easy to make Taco Sliders recipe. Perfect for game day or when you are in the mood for something a little different.

These Taco Sliders are so easy to make and ready in less than 30 minutes. They are especially quick to make if you already have some taco meat on hand.

When it comes to taco meat, you have many different options. You can buy pre-seasoned taco meat at your local grocery store or you can do like I do.

Take a pound of ground beef or ground turkey, season it heavily with some taco seasoning and cook until brown.

Since these sliders are supposed to be inspired by tacos, I use Mexican Blend Cheese when making this recipe. But as always, feel free to use whatever you have on hand.

I realize not every grocery store may carry Mexican Blend Cheese. I think a nice Pepper Jack might go well with these sliders.

I like to add some pickled Jalapeños like I do when I make tacos but if you prefer your sliders to have a little less heat you can use fewer Jalapeños or not use them at all.

Another variation to this recipe would be to use freshly chopped tomatoes instead of salsa. I always have a jar of salsa in the fridge so it was really convenient for me to use that when I made this recipe.

What I like about serving sliders when I have guests over is that they can pick whatever amount they want.

Not everyone eats the same amount of food so this usually results in less waste. And with the price of ingredients these days who wants to waste food?

  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, onion powder, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper. Brush the top of the buns with the melted butter.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until the cheese is melted.
