  • Eggs: You are going to want to use large or x-large egg hard boiled eggs.
  • Shrimp: You will need 12 shrimp that are deveined and peeled. You can fresh or frozen shrimp.
  • Parsley: Fresh parsley is best with this recipe, you could also use dried but will not have as much of a flavor impact as the fresh will.
  • Seafood Seasoning: You could use any seafood seasoning of your choice, Old Bay is a great choice or use creole seasoning.

STEP 1: PREPPING AND SEPARTING EGGS

First, you will need to hard boiled your eggs before hand. Here is a good method for Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs (Easy Peel). When they have cool you want to peel and cut them in half. Then separate the egg whites and yolks using a teaspoon works welland reserve them in a medium mixing bowl.

To assemble a shrimp deviled egg, spoon the yolk mixture you just made into the egg white halves. Finally, garnish with parsley and put on a serving platter. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving!

To make this deviled egg recipe ahead of time, I suggest making your hard boiled eggs the night prior and keeping them in the fridge until you are ready. You can either completely assembly the deviled eggs and put on a plastic covered platter in the fridge overnight or you can just stop right before assembling and just store filling in an air tight container until you are ready to do so.

Store on a platter wrapped with plastic wrap in the fridge, eat within 2 days!

Ingredients

  • 6 Eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
  • 12 Shrimp, deveined and peeled
  • 3 tablespoon Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • ½ teaspoon Seafood Seasoning
