The dish I have for you this time is a masterpiece. It’s always an amazing experience to cook this dish. I would even say, it’s one of the dishes I can’t get tired of. The details that go into every roll are just… mesmerizing. The simple little things are what I love in this Japanese sushi recipe.

This traditional dish really highlights the Japanese culture and its simplicity. I mean you can literally taste the beauty of Japanese cuisine in every bite.

There’s much more to talk about here. So let’s just get started and make some yummy sushi.

What is a Japanese sushi recipe?

Most of you already know what it is, but for those of you who are new to this, here’s the TLDR version. It’s a traditional Japanese dish. A very ‘tasty’ traditional Japanese dish, I might add. It has only a handful of ingredients. The most important one is the special sushi rice. Other ingredients vary widely with different versions of the Japanese sushi recipe.

More about the sushi rice, apart from being the most important part of the dish, they’re very hard to make too. Chefs spend years training to perfect this skill.

You might be thinking, “how am I going to make them then?”

Well, you can’t. At least not as good as trained chefs. But don’t be discouraged yet, ‘cause there’s away. You can find many recipes on the internet to make sushi rice, they really help. It might take a few tries but you can do it. Then all you have to do is follow this recipe and you’ll know how to make sushi in no time.

How to make sushi better?

As always the first thing you should do is to follow this step-by-step sushi recipe. It is pretty detailed and easy, and you’ll enjoy making it.

But, “how to make sushi even better?” that’s what you’re thinking, right?

Don’t worry, I know what you mean. I have some tips that’ll help you make decent sushi for your family and friends.

The First thing you have to do is to find the right kind of seaweed to wrap your sushi with. You’ll need a thick seaweed that is specifically made for sushi-making.

Once you’ve got the seaweed, you’ll need a sushi-worthy fish. For this recipe, I’ve used salmon, because it’s quite famous for sushi. However, there is much more fish you can use; like snapper, yellowtail, and the Japanese amberjack.

You should buy what is most easily available to you. You should also know how to cut the fish properly. First cut down through the filet. Cut that piece in half to get a small strip.

What to eat with your Sushi?

After making this super easy, step-by-step sushi recipe; you may be thinking, “It still feels a little incomplete, doesn’t it.”

Well, I’ve got just the thing for you. Traditionally, there are a few things, you can enjoy with your sushi. You’ll love soy sauce with your sushi. It really brings out its amazing flavor.

But that’s not it. You also have pickled ginger. It adds a little punch to the simple taste of the sushi. I personally love it.

But you know what I love even more?

Wasabi. It’s very popular with sushi and let me just say, it tastes stellar with it as well. Just try it once and you’ll know what I mean.

What should you try next?

If you’re like me and want to try out some new cuisines, I have a few recommendations for you.

Although there’s much more I can say about this Japanese sushi recipe, this is all I will say right now. I really hope you enjoy this dish and all you try to make.
