  • Everything but the bagel seasoning: This seasoning takes this recipe to the next level but you can you use any seasoning or spices that you enjoy.

How to Make Crescent Roll Hot Dogs

STEP 1: PREP

First, preheat the oven to 375 degrees and then line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

STEP 2: DOUGH

Second, unroll the crescent roll dough and separate one rectangle made up of two triangle crescent rolls. Pinch the seam of the triangles together, then roll out the dough until it’s a flat rectangle. Then cut the rectangle into one-inch strips, then wrap each strip around the mini pigs. Place seam side down on an ungreased baking sheet.

STEP 3: BRUSH AND BAKE

Finally, brush the sausages with melted butter or an egg wash and sprinkle everything but the bagel seasoning on top. Bake in the preheated oven on an ungreased cookie sheets lined with parchment for 13 to 15 minutes, until the crescent rolls are golden brown. Serve immediately.

Absolutely! I like to assemble these ahead of time and bake them off just before serving. Prep them and cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

HOW TO FREEZE THIS RECIPE

To be sure this is a great make ahead recipe. Prepare the pigs in the blanket and freeze on a baking sheet. Put in an airtight container for up to three months. Then when you are ready to serve, cook as directed but add an additional 5 to 10 minutes.
