How to Make Breaded Pork Chops – Step by Step

Pork chops, egg wash, flour and panko.
  • Preheat Oven: First, preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Shallow Dish: In three separate shallow dishes, add the flour; the beaten eggs and milk; Whisk until combined. In last, add breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, parsley and garlic powder.
  • Dredge: Third, season both sides of each pork chop with House Seasoning Blend and then dredge both sides of one pork chop in flour.
  • Egg Mixture: Dip the floured pork chop in the egg mixture.
Pan before, during and after cooking pork chops.
  • Breadcrumbs: Finally, dip the pork chop in the breadcrumb mixture. Repeat with remaining pork chops.
  • In Skillet: Heat the olive oil in a large, ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic to the skillet and cook until lightly brown; Remove garlic and discard.
  • Cook: Place the breaded pork chops in the preheated skillet and cook for 5 minutes per side or until lightly browned.
  • Bake: Lastly, place the skillet with the browned pork chops in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup flour
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 2 teaspoons House Seasoning Blend
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled and sliced

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • In a shallow dish, such as a pie plate, add the flour.
  • In another shallow dish combine the beaten eggs and milk; Whisk until combined.
  • In a third shallow dish add breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, parsley and garlic powder; Stir to combine.
  • Season both sides of each pork chop with House Seasoning Blend.
  • Dredge both sides of one pork chop in flour, tapping off any excess.
  • Dip the floured pork chop in the egg mixture, making sure that the entire pork chop is completely coated.
  • Finally, dip the pork chop in the breadcrumb mixture, again making sure the entire pork chop is completely coated; Set aside.
  • Repeat with remaining pork chops.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large, oven proof skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic to the skillet and cook until lightly brown; Remove garlic and discard.
  • Place the breaded pork chops in the pre-heated skillet and cook for 5 minutes per side or until lightly browned. The pork will not be cooked though at this point.
  • Place the skillet with the browned pork chops in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes, or until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F.
