How to Make Witches Hat Cupcakes

STEP 1: BAKE

First, begin by making the batter in a large bowl and fill the cupcake liners. Then, bake the cupcakes per recipe and cool completely on a wire rack.

Melt chocolate and shortening together to make chocolate thin enough for dipping the cookies and cones. Then dip cookies and cones in chocolate and set aside or place in refrigerator to set. Once set, pipe a line of frosting around the opening of the cone and place it in the center of the cookie to create the witch hat and then pipe frosting all the way around where the cookie and cone meet.

STEP 3: FINISH

Next, frost cooled cupcakes, alternating colors as you wish. Use gray frosting to pipe hair on one side of the cupcake. Lastly, pipe frosting all the way around where the cookie and cone meet and pour on sprinkles to create a hat band.
