Healthy Chocolate Granola

We thought that our last granola recipe would be the best granola we’ve ever tasted, but wait until you try this one! We made an absolutely incredible and super delicious Healthy Chocolate Granola! It’s not overly sweet, it’s super crunchy, and so chocolatey.

Making your own granola is the best thing you can do for your health. You know exactly what ingredients you used. Besides that, it’s infinitely customizable, and it won’t take you more then 20 minutes to make it! The smell of this amazing granola when baking is a true delight. 

Our favorite ways of serving this Chocolate Granola is with non-dairy milk, on top of coconut-yogurt, as a crunchy topping on oatmeal, or as a quick snack. It makes a perfect chocolate breakfast!!

Healthy Chocolate Granola
We bet anyone can make this recipe. All you have to do is to mix together cacao, rolled oats, nuts, coconut oil, and maple syrup and spread on a baking sheet. Check the image bellow to see how the granola should look like before baking.

Chocolate Coconut Granola

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups (about 210g) whole rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup (75g) raw almonds
  • 1/2 cup (75g) raw hazelnuts
  • 3 tablespoons raw cacao powder
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) coconut oil (room temperature – melt if solid) 
  • 2 tablespoons cacao nibs
  • 4 tablespoons chocolate chips
  • 5 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons coconut flakes

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit (150 °C). Line a large baking sheet with a parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Roughly chop almond and hazelnuts. Use food processor for faster results.
  • In a large bowl mix together coconut oil, maple syrup, and cacao until combined. NOTE: Add more maple syrup if you want sweeter granola!
  • Add oats, chopped almonds, and chopped hazelnuts into the bowl with the wet ingredients. Use spatula to mix well and toss to coat. The mixture will be mild sticky.
  • Spread the mixture in a thin layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes stirring halfway through. When done let it cool completely, don’t toss it. Then add coconut flakes, cacao nibs, and chocolate chips and toss everything.
  • Transfer into an airtight storage container. Store it for up to 2-3 weeks. Enjoy your homemade Healthy Chocolate Granola!
