Summer is the grilling season in my house and I often forget about kebabs (or kebobs) which are the easiest dinner option. Just skewer some meat and vegetables and grill them in about 15 minutes.
Today I made these spicy marinated pork kebabs along with some grilled veggies for a deliciously healthy weeknight dinner.
The marinade is a tasty mixture of honey, soy, garlic and some sriracha sauce for added heat. The result was sweet and spicy, tender pork. It was yummy!
Pork marinade ingredients I used.
Below you can see the ingredients I used for this meal. The marinade is made from just 5 ingredients which are soy sauce, honey, olive oil, garlic cloves and sriracha sauce. That’s all! It’s sweet, tangy and spicy.
It would also be great on chicken or pork chops.
There is no need for salt and black pepper as the soy sauce brings the salt and the sriracha sauce brings the heat!
Note I used honey but if you want a low carb option, you can use Swerve brown sugar sweetener as a substitute. I would use ¼ cup to sub for the honey.
What type of pork to use for kebabs?
I used country boneless pork ribs for the kebabs. They are easy to just chop into big chunks to skewer later. However you could use pork tenderloin or pork loin for this recipe.
I don’t think I would use a pork shoulder because it often has a lot of fat which doesn’t seem to grill well.
How to make spicy marinated pork kebabs.
Step 1: Cut the pork ribs into a big chunks (1-inch pieces) and place into a large ziplock bag.
Step 2: Mix the marinade by adding the soy sauce, olive oil, crushed garlic, honey and sriracha sauce in a medium sized bowl. Whisk to combine and pour into the ziplock bag.
Step 3: Use your hands a mix the meat and marinade together with your hands from the outside of the bag and then place in the refrigerator.
You want the meat to marinate for at least 2-8 hours and even over night. I like to make it in the morning for dinner that night.
Step 4: When it’s time to eat, thread pork cubes onto the skewers trying not to pack them too tight. I like to use metal skewers but you could also use wooden skewers if you have them. You should soak the wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before using.
Step 5: Then place them on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes until the meat is cooked through. Cooking time may vary depending on the size of the cubes of pork. The internal temperature using a meat thermometer should be 145°F (source). When you let it rest it will continue to cook. Store leftover pork in an air tight container.

What to serve with these grilled kebabs?
I like to add some veggies when we are grilling kebabs. So you can try some peppers, zucchini, eggplant, cherry tomatoes, white onion or whatever your favorite veggies are on the grill.
Then I get some kind of cauliflower rice pilaf cooking to go with it as we are usually on a low carb diet. Or try this cheesy asiago cauliflower rice as it would work well too.
Both take very little time to make and are very tasty. You could also use regular white rice with this dish if you don’t care about carbs.
Next time you need an easy but tasty summer dinner, try these spicy marinated pork kebabs (or pork kabobs) with some grilled veggies. It makes a fresh and tasty meal! Enjoy.

Spicy Marinated Pork Kebabs
These spicy marinated pork kebabs are so easy to make and grill. The marinade is sweet and spicy and has an Asian flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs pork ribs (boneless country ribs)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ¼ cup oil
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
Instructions
- Make the marinade by whisking together all of the ingredients (excluding the pork).
- Cut the country style pork ribs into big chunks and place in a large ziplock bag. Pour the marinade over the pieces of pork and seal well. Mix around using your hand on the outside of the bag.
- Refrigerate for 2-4 hours or even overnight.
- When ready to eat, place the pork pieces on a skewers and grill for about 5-7 minutes per side. I like to spray the grate with cooking spray before I light the grill.
Notes
- Note you could use pork tenderloin instead of the country style ribs if you wish.
- Also you could substitute ¼ cup of Swerve brown sugar for the honey if you wan this recipe to be low carb.
- I used a gas grill so cooking time may be different if you use a charcoal grill.
- You can use the leftover pork and rice to make fried rice though they reheat well in the microwave.
