This amazing Swiss Chard Green Smoothie is naturally sweetened, super creamy, and so yummy green smoothie recipe you are going to love. A great combination of a vibrant swiss chard, banana, apple, avocado, celery, and some super foods is what makes this smoothie so special!

Summer is perfect time to drink more smoothies, not only because they are super refreshing but also because they are full of healthy nutrients and are not heavy for your stomach. Perfect smoothie, our opinion, is the one that contain both veggies and fruits, especially if you are drinking smoothies regularly. Fruits contain a lot of natural sugars and they can increase the sugar level in your blood. Not very good to do first thing in the morning, don’t you think?




 

In this Swiss Chard Green Smoothie we used flax seeds for some omega 3 fatty acids, maca powder, and hemp protein powder. Last two are optional! This recipe doesn’t contain any gluten or dairy, and is 100% vegan!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 of a small avocado
  • 2 celery sticks chopped
  • 4-5 fresh swiss chard leaves
  • 1 small sweet apple chopped
  • 1 teaspoon maca powder (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons hemp protein powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds
  • about 6.8 fl oz (200ml) coconut water – add more if you don’t want very thick smoothie

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Add all smoothie ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Pour everything into a jar or a glass. 
  • Enjoy your Swiss Chard Green Smoothie! Use frozen bananas if you like super refreshing smoothie.
