Sloppy Joe Nachos Recipe

Yes, I know we had a lot of sloppy Joe recipes lately but let me tell you the Sloppy Joe seasoning tastes so good you want to put it on everything.

And tortilla chips are great to use to put some sloppy Joe on. You can use store-bought nacho chips but if you haven’t any but do have some corn tortillas make them from scratch.

All you need to do is cut your corn tortillas into wedges, spray them with cooking spray, and bake them in the oven. You can also fry them in oil. They contain more fat but they also taste so good.

Reheat Sloppy Joe Nachos

When you have sloppy Joe meat prepared you can reheat it in several ways:

  • Instant Pot – just put your meat mixture in an Instant Pot and add ¼ to 3 tablespoons of water. Close the lid and push the valve into the sealing position. Set to Manual or Pressure Cook at 2 minutes and quick-release
  • Dutch oven – preheat your Dutch oven and add the meat mixture. Slowly warm the meat and add water if the meat gets too dry. Stir until warm. This will take a couple of minutes
  • Cast-iron skillet – use the same instructions as described with the Dutch oven. Preheat the cast-iron skillet and add the meat. Stir to warm it and add water if needed

Put the meat on the tortillas and load it with cheese. You can warm the bowl in a preheated oven or your Air Fryer. Heat either to 350℉/175℃ and warm until the cheese is melted. This takes only 1 or 2 minutes.

Serve immediately.

I’m glad that you have a recipe using tortilla chips and sloppy joe together. I was thinking about making something like this, since we all know that when you make sloppy joe, you serve it on a bun not a nacho casserole, I’m getting ready to make this for my dinner I was afraid someone might think I’m crazy to come up with something different, but that’s how I think,so thanks for the recipe.

I made this sloppy joe recipe the other day using store brought sauce and adding to the sauce was green peppers and onion,I then served on a bed of tortilla chips with chopped tomato and cheese, when I ate it, it was so good that I made a home run, it was so good and delicious that you don’t have to add a lot of toppings,it’s a recipe that you could go either way,its a runaway hit.
