Air Fryer Breaded Chicken Ingredients
To make this breaded chicken recipe you need a number of ingredients.
Put the following on your grocery shopping list and have them ready when you start:
- Skinless chicken breasts
- Egg
- Olive oil
- Bread crumbs
- Chili powder
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Salt
- Pepper
How To Make Air Fryer Breaded Chicken
To make this recipe start with the chicken breasts. Cut the chicken in half horizontally so you have two chicken filets.
Brush each side lightly with olive oil. Put the egg in a bowl and whisk the eggs. Then put the chicken breasts in the egg.
Take a second bowl or plate and stir the bread crumbs, salt, and pepper to combine. Then add garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder.
Put the chicken breasts in the breadcrumb mixture and cover all sides.
Shake off any excess bread mixture. Set aside and repeat for the remaining chicken filets.
Now preheat your Air Fryer to 390°F for 3 to 5 minutes.
Take a parchment liner and put it in the basket and put the breaded chicken on top in a single layer, 2 halved chicken breasts at a time.
Air Fry the chicken for 10 minutes take tongs and turn the filets then Air Fry the chicken for another 10 minutes.
Be aware, that cooking time depends on the type of Air Fryer you use but also on the thickness of your chicken and the temperature of the Air Fryer.
Check if the internal temperature of the breaded chicken with a digital thermometer reached 165°F or cut it in half to see if the chicken is ready.

- Oven – you can also reheat the chicken in the oven. Preheat your chicken to 350°F. Wrap the chicken in aluminum foil to prevent the chicken from drying out or getting too brown. Bake for 7-10 minutes or until warmed through
- Skillet – you can reheat them in a skillet. Preheat to medium-hot. Add a bit of butter or oil and slowly warm the chicken

Air Fryer Breaded Chicken
You can make delicious chicken just by air frying it. This Air Fryer breaded chicken is the best. Crunchy coated outside and juicy on the inside. Great to serve for dinner, serve on a bun as a burger in your lunch salad.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 small egg
- 1½ tablespoon olive oil
- Bread mixture
- ¼ cup bread crumbs
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
- Pinch of salt and black pepper
Instructions
- Heat air fryer to 390°F/198℃
- Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally to make two thin chicken breast halves from each chicken
- Whisk the egg on a deep plate. Brush each side lightly with olive oil. Then put the chicken breasts in the egg
- Stir together the bread crumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder together in a small bowl
- Put the chicken breasts in the breading mixture until all sides are thoroughly covered
- Shake off any excess mixture. Set aside and repeat for the remaining pieces. Put the chicken breast and place in a single layer in the air fryer (2-3 chicken breast halves at a time)
- Cook for 10 minutes, turn the breaded chicken and cook for another 10 minutes. Check the internal temperature with a digital thermometer to see if the chicken reached 165°F/73℃. You can also check and cut one in half and see if it is done
- Serve immediately
