What You Need For This Recipe

To make this nacho recipe you need about a handful of ingredients. Put the following ingredients on your grocery shopping list. Have them ready when you start:

  • Tortilla chips – you can buy these in the store or make tortilla chips from scratch
  • Cheese – choose your favorite grated cheese like Mexican cheese or Mozzarella cheese
  • Olives – finely chop
  • Onions – choose regular white onions and finely chop
  • Scallion – finely slice them
  • Cherry tomatoes – cut into small pieces

How To Make Air Fryer Nachos

  1. Set your air fryer to 370℉/187℃ to preheat with the grill pan for 5 minutes. When the Air Fryer is heated take the grill pan out. Thinly slice the olives, onion, and scallion.
  2. Dice the cherry tomatoes. Put a parchment paper liner on the grill pan. Scatter the corn tortilla chips on the liner paper. Then cover the chips with shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, olives, and scallion.
  3. Add a second layer of nacho chips before adding more cheese, olives, onion, and scallion. Put the grill pan into the Air Fryer. Bake the nachos for 4 minutes or until the cheese is just melted.
  4. Take the baked nachos out of the Air Fryer and serve immediately.

It heats way faster than any oven and my recipes are done in time. Just like this nachos recipe. With the must-have grill pan, it is even easier to layer your nachos and lift them out of the pan.

Air Fryers can be used for so much more than just frying. You can bake, grill, heat, fry, and roast.

What Is The Best Cheese To Use For Nachos?

You can’t serve nachos without a load of melted cheese. Pulling strings of cheese when you pick up a tortilla chip. It should be covered in cheese.

But what cheese do you choose and is the best when you bake it or put it underneath the grill? It is important to use a cheese that has some flavor and melts well.

You can choose one of the following or combine more than one:

  • Monterey Jack
  • Shredded cheddar
  • Gouda cheese
  • Hard Mozzarella

How To Store Leftover Nachos

If you want to store nachos you have to let them cool completely first. Then store them in airtight containers like these brilliant food containers from Rubbermaid that you can find on Amazon or resealable bags.

  • Refrigerator – You can store the leftover nachos in the fridge for at least two days
  • Freezer – you can also freeze leftover nachos. Put them in an airtight container or use resealable bags for up to 2 months

How To Reheat Nachos In The Air Fryer

If you are wondering if you can reheat nachos in the Air Fryer the answer is simple. Yes, you can reheat your nachos in the Air Fryer.

Preheat your Air Fryer to 320℉/160℃ so the nachos will warm evenly and do not burn the nachos or the cheese.

When frozen let the nachos thaw first otherwise, put them on aluminum foil. Put the nachos in the Air Fryer and bake for 2 to 3 minutes or until heated through completely.

      Shay,

      No, the cheese didn’t fly around as I used shredded mozzarella. It is sticky and heavy enough to stay in place on top of the nachos.
