How To Make Instant Pot Pulled Pork Sandwich
To make this recipe you need to prepare your pulled pork and season it with this homemade pork chop or pork loin seasoning.
Rub it in with your hands so all of the meat is covered then set it aside.
Then take a medium bowl and whisk together apple cider vinegar, barbecue sauce, and the chicken broth. When combined set it aside.
Turn on your Instant Pot and select the Sauté setting. Pour olive oil into the pot when the pressure cooker is hot.
Put the pork shoulder in and move it around so it can brown on all sides. This takes about 5 minutes.
Take the pork shoulder out of the pressure cooker and put it on a plate.
Press cancel and add the remaining broth. Use a wooden spoon to release any of the brown bits from the bottom of the pot.
Put the meat back into the pressure cooker along with the barbecue sauce mixture.
Close the lid of your Instant Pot and secure, turn the valve to the sealing position.

Can You Make Pressure Cooker Pulled Pork sandwich Ahead?
You can definitely make the pulled pork ahead of time and store the pulled pork and reheat it when you need it.
Your sandwich will taste even better when the meat had time. However, I would not make the whole sandwich ahead.
The kaiser buns will drown in barbecue sauce and become soggy when you put the meat on for a long time.
Just prepare the meat and assemble the sandwich when you are ready to serve.
Can You Cook Pulled Pork In The Slow Cooker?
Yes, absolutely you can cook pulled pork in the slow cooker. If you own an Instant Pot or Crock-Pot Express use the slow cooker button.
Else use your slow cooker. Follow the same steps to prepare the meat and brown it using the Sauté button.
When the meat is browned cancel the cooker and select slow cooker. Add only 1/2 cup of broth instead of the 1¼ cups.
You can select the slow-cooker to:
- High – for 4-5 hours
- Low – for 5-10 hours
Be aware that just like Air Fryers, slow cookers, and pressure cooker cooking times can differ.
So, use the times in this recipe as a guideline as a starting point. Adjust the cooking time when necessary.
