The classic chocolate cake is quick and easy to make, no mixer is needed, just a large bowl and a whisk. The cake batter is baked in a large greased baking dish and baked until the cake comes out clean in the center. After the cake has cooled down, frost it with a creamy and smooth chocolate buttercream frosting. And sprinkle crushed Oreo cookies all over the cake. Decorate with milano cookies as the tombstones and gummy worms. Refrigerate until you are ready to serve.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Ingredients for the Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2-3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • crushed oreos
  • milano cookies
  • gummy worms

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add in eggs, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract, and whisk until smooth.
  • Pour the cake batter into a large greased baking dish. Bake for 35-45 minutes. Let cool completely.
  • For the chocolate buttercream frosting, beat softened butter with powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract an cocoa powder until smooth. Frost cooled cake and sprinkle the crushed oreos on top.
  • Decorate with the milano cookies and gummy worms.
