Cheesy and creamy chicken alfredo lasagna covered with a homemade creamy alfredo sauce. The homemade alfredo sauce is creamy and cheesy with heavy cream and grated parmesan cheese. This lasagna is quick and easy to prepare using precooked chicken. This meal is great to use up leftover chicken or a rotissery chicken would be good to use in this lasagna. Serve with a side of garlic bread or a salad for a tasty comfort food meal.

The lasagna noodles need to be boiled first, unless you are using no boil lasagna noodles. For the creamy homemade alfredo sauce, melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook garlic in the butter until fragrant and whisk in flour for another minute to brown. Pour in heavy cream, milk and grated parmesan cheese, season with salt and pepper. Continue to cook the alfredo sauce until smooth and thickened. Layer the lasagna with first a thin layer of the alfredo sauce. Then layer the lasagna noodles, cooked and diced chicken, shredded mozzarella cheese and more alfredo sauce. Repeat the layers for another 3 layers, ending with alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning.

Chicken Alfredo Lasagna

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound lasagna noodles
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 pound cooked and diced chicken
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions, drain. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. cook garlic until fragrant. Whisk in flour and cook for a minute to brown.
  • Pour in heavy cream, milk, grated parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Continue to cook over medium heat, while whisking constantly until sauce has thickened. Spread a thin layer of alfredo sauce in the bottom of a large baking dish.
  • Layer with 4 lasagna noodles. Top with chicken, shredded mozzarella cheese and more alfredo sauce. Repeat layers 3 times, ending with alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
