- Red onion – finely dice the red onion
- Scallion – finely slice the scallion
- Lemon – you need lemon juice
- Dried dill – fresh, citrus-like taste, with a slightly grassy undertone
- Dried parsley – an aromatic herb with a slightly peppery and earthy taste
- Chives – mild onion like taste
- Salt

How To Make Instant Pot Chicken Salad
To make this recipe start with this shredded chicken recipe. The easiest way to make this is to use your Instant Pot. You can also make it in a regular pot.
Put the chicken breast in the Instant Pot and add water. Put the lid on the Instant Pot and secure it. Turn the valve to sealing. Press the manual/pressure cook button and set it for 10 minutes (or 12 minutes for frozen chicken).
Natural release for 5 minutes and then quick release. Take a cutting board and two forks to shred the chicken and put it in a bowl then set it aside.
While the chicken is cooking prepare the dressing. Take a small bowl and add the mayo, sour cream, mustard, lemon juice, dill, and parsley.
Stir together into a creamy dressing sauce. Set aside. Then finely dice the red onion, and slice the scallion. Now take the bowl with chicken and add the dressing.
Stir it through to coat the shredded chicken. Then add the onion and sliced scallion. Stir together as well. Decorate with cut chives. I use my scissors and cut them into small pieces. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

- 1 cup of water
- 4 kaiser buns
- 1 small red onion, diced
- 1 scallion sliced
- 2½ tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
