What You Need For This Recipe
To make these pork carnitas tacos you need several ingredients. Make sure you have the following ready when you start:
- Tortillas – we are using small flour tortillas
- Pork carnitas
- Avocado – dice the avocado
- Salsa – you can buy a salsa or make roasted tomato salsa yourself
- Scallion – finely slice
- Red onion – finely dice
- Parsley – use fresh parsley

How To Make Mexican Pork Carnitas Tacos
- Prepare the pork carnitas as described in the recipe or use leftover pork carnitas. Finely chop the red onion and finely slice your scallion while you preheat your oven to 400℉/200℃.
- Take an oven dish to stack the small flour tortillas. Start with a homemade flour tortilla add the pork carnitas, sprinkle diced red onion, and sliced scallion, and finish with a tablespoon of red tomato salsa.
- Wrap the oven dish with aluminum foil and warm for 12 minutes. Then take the foil from the oven dish and warm for another 2 minutes.
- Finely chop the fresh parsley and sprinkle it on top of the tacos. Decorate the Mexican pork carnitas tacos with slices of avocado.
- Serve immediately.

Warm tortillas piled high with slow cooked pork carnitas are the best tacos! These Mexican pork carnitas are great to serve on taco night
Ingredients
- 4 homemade tortillas
- 1 lb pork carnitas
- 1 avocado
- 1 cup roasted tomato salsa
- 1 scallion, thinly sliced
- ½ red onion, finely diced
- ½ tablespoon parsley
Instructions
- Prepare carnitas as described in the recipe or use leftover pork carnitas
- Preheat your oven to 400℉. Take an oven dish and stack the tortillas. Take a tortilla and add the pork carnitas, sprinkle diced red onion, sliced scallion and finish with a tablespoon red salsa
- Wrap the oven dish with aluminum foil and warm for 12 minutes. Then take the foil from the oven dish and warm for another 2 minutes
- Decorate with slices of avocado
- Serve immediately
