Delicious Clafoutis Recipe With Peaches
Every bistro menu needs a great dessert and clafoutis is such a recipe. Clafoutis is also known as clafouti is a French bake recipe and is originally made with cherries.
But when cherries are not in season or you do not like cherries you can make this recipe with the fruit you love like peaches.
As I had peaches, I made this recipe with peaches.
There are many ways to make a clafoutis. It usually takes a medium heated oven and a long bake.
With this recipe, you still get a delicious clafoutis but in half of the time.
The main reason why I can cut the baking time in half is that I combined this recipe with the baking technique of a Dutch baby.
The Dutch baby recipe you can find on our other site the Tortilla Channel.
You may not get an even clafoutis but the result but it tastes so good it doesn’t even matter.
Vanilla Sugar
This recipe calls for vanilla sugar. It is readily available in our supermarkets.
What is vanilla sugar? Vanilla sugar is sugar that is infused with vanilla aroma. If you have used vanilla pods do not throw them away.
Take a jar and fill it with sugar. Stick the vanilla pods in the sugar. Close the jar and just leave it. The sugar will be infused with the vanilla aroma.
If you do not have vanilla sugar you can substitute with vanilla extract.
This recipe calls for 1 tablespoon of vanilla sugar but it can be replaced with 1½-2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.

To make this healthy peach recipe you need a number of ingredients. Put the following ingredients on your grocery shopping list:
- Fresh peaches
- Eggs

- Vanilla sugar
- Regular sugar
- Flour
- Salt
- Butter
Use the butter to grease the skillet.
How To Make Peach Clafoutis
The base of a clafoutis is the batter combined with fruit. So, the easiest way to make the batter is in the blender.
Put flour, salt, sugar, vanilla sugar in a blender. Add the eggs and milk and whip it into a consistent batter.
Scrape the sides of the blender if necessary and run the blender again. Let the blender run to make certain all of the flour is combined in the batter.
Set the batter aside for at least 10 minutes. This to give the flour time to absorbs all the liquid in the batter.
Heat your skillet in the oven while it preheats to 500℉. Take the skin of the peaches, halve the peaches, and remove the pit.
Thinly slice the peaches.
Leave the skillet in for another 5 minutes before you take it out of the oven. Then put a tablespoon of butter in the skillet.
Put the halved and sliced peaches in the skillet and pour the batter on top of the peaches. Return into the oven.
You have got to work fast to keep the skillet as hot as possible.
Bake the clafoutis for 15 minutes at 500℉ then turn the heat down to 400℉ and bake for another 10 minutes.
The edges will puff up and the middle of the cake is still nice and soft. Dust with some icing sugar and the peach cake is ready to serve.
