To top it all of you add ground beef and soft cheese. Now that is what you call a cheeseburger.
You can grill these burgers on your barbecue but you can also put them in a well-seasoned skillet.
But there is more take a look below.
Cheeseburger Ingredients
To make this cheeseburger you really need only a handful of ingredients. Have the following ingredients ready when you start:
- Homemade burger buns
- Hamburger sauce
- Ground beef
- White onion
- Red onion
- Cherry tomatoes
- Pickle
- Lettuce leafs
- Soft Gouda cheese
- Pinch of salt and pepper to taste
How To Make A Cheeseburger
Take a bowl and add the ground beef. Season to taste with salt and pepper before you shape it into a burger patty.
Preheat a skillet to medium-hot before adding the hamburger patties. As ground beef holds enough fat you do not need an additional baking product.
Pan-fry the burgers approximately 5 minutes per side and turn regularly.
Take a mandolin slicer and finely slice the white onion and half of the red onion.
Lower the skillet to medium-low before adding the onion to the skillet and let the onion soften in the excess fat of the burger.
Just before serving the burgers put a slice of cheese on the burger and let it soften.
You can warm the burger bun in the oven heated to 200F for 5 minutes. Cut a homemade burger bun in half.
Build Your Burger
Start with a lettuce leaf then add the cheeseburger.
Slice the cherry tomatoes and put on top of your burger. Then a slice of picks, the onion, and a big tablespoon of hamburger sauce.
Your burger is ready to serve.
Serve This Cheeseburger With
You can eat your burger plain but there are a lot of side dishes that you can serve with this tasty burger like:
Sauce And Condiments
A classic burger needs a sauce or condiment. Serve the following sauces and condiments with your burger:
- Spicy mayonnaise – a typical Dutch and Belgian thing to do is eat your fries with mayonnaise but you can also put this spicy mayonnaise on your hamburger
- Ketchup – is a sauce that you can serve with your French fries but also on top of your grilled burger
- Honey mustard sauce – a great variation to put on top of your lettuce and tomato not directly on your grill burger
- Ranch dressing – this home ranch dressing is also perfect to put on your bun and lettuce
- Caesar dressing – Caesar dressing is a little salty due to the anchovies and goes well with the tomato and lettuce on your burger
- Guacamole – is great to put on top of your cheeseburger
- Roasted tomato salsa – my favorite salsa that you can use instead of ketchup
I hope you give this recipe a try. Have fun making this great burger!
