There are many methods of boiling eggs but using the IP is the best method to boil perfect hard or soft boiled eggs. Some reasons why you should be boiling eggs in instant pot include:

Instant pot pressure cooker
Trivet or steamer basket

How to make soft boiled eggs in instant pot
1)Add water in the pot of the instant pot pressure cooker then place the trivet in the pot.
2) Arrange eggs on the trivet and close the instant pot with it's lid.
3) Set IP to manual pressure cook on high for 3 minutes. After the 3 minutes cycle is completed, do a quick release and using a thong, immediately transfer the eggs into ice bath.
4) Leave cooked eggs in the ice bath for atleast 2- 4 minutes.
If you don't have ice, run eggs under cold water for atleast 2 minutes.
5) Peel the eggs and serve.
If not serving immediately, leave the eggs in their shell.
How to make hard boiled eggs in instant pot
1)Pour a cup of water in the pot of the instant pot then put the trivet in the pot.
2) Arrange eggs on the trivet.
3) Close the instant pot with it's lid, make sure it's safely closed then turn the vent to sealing.
4) Set IP to manual pressure cook on high for 7 minutes. After the 7 minutes cycle is completed, do a quick release.
5) Immediately transfer the eggs into ice bath. Do this by using a thong to get the eggs out of the pot.
6) Leave cooked eggs in the ice bath for atleast 2- 4 minutes.
If you don't have ice, run the eggs under cold water for atleast 2 minutes.
7) Peel eggs and serve.
If you are not serving immediately, leave the eggs in their shell.
How to boil on Stovetop
1) Put eggs in pot and pour in water. Let the water cover the eggs by 2 inch.
2) Cover the pot, put on stove and let the water boil. Once the water starts boiling, set timer for 5 minutes.
3) After the 5 minutes, take off heat, drain the water and put cold water and ice. Leave in cold water for 2-4 minutes.
4) Peel the eggs and serve.
