What You Need For This Recipe
To make this recipe you need a limited number of ingredients. Make certain you have the following ready:
- Flatbread – I used one of my favorite flatbreads Gyro bread
- Cheese – fresh mozzarella cheese
- Tomato – thinly slice
- Garlic – mince fresh garlic
- Parsley – use dried parsley
- Tomato sauce – you can use pizza sauce or frito tomato sauce
- Olive oil
- Salt and Pepper – season to taste

How To Make Margherita Flatbread Pizza
- Start this recipe by preheating your oven to 350°F/175℃. Finely chop the garlic and mix with the olive oil into garlic oil. Brush the flatbreads with garlic oil mixture and put the flatbreads in the oven for about 5 minutes.
- Take the flatbreads out of the oven. First, add a couple of tablespoons of tomato sauce then add 3 slices of mozzarella cheese on top of the flatbread.
- Season with salt and pepper before adding thinly sliced tomatoes on top.
- Put the flatbreads back in the oven for another 5 minutes. Then turn the oven to broil and bake for an extra 2-3 minutes on broil or until these are melted and golden brown.
- Sprinkle with some dried or fresh minced parsley and serve immediately.

- Naan – if you do not have any naan bread no worries the gyro bread can serve perfectly as naan for your chicken curry
But you can easily turn it into a pizza. The main reason is that these flatbreads are thicker than regular flatbreads or tortillas. That is what you need in a pizza especially when you have tomato sauce and lots of cheese.
How To Store Margherita Pizza Flatbread
You make these flatbread pizzas ahead of time. If you do not want to eat them straight away you can store them in:
- Fridge – put your flatbread pizza wrapped in foil or an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days
- Freezer – you can store the pizza bread in the oven. Cool completely before freezing

Margherita Flatbread Pizza
These Margherita flatbread pizza are amazing. A very quick and easy recipe. Made with gyro flatbread as the base. So tasty, try it!
Ingredients
- 2 gyro flatbreads
- ½ cup tomato sauce (Frito sauce)
- 2 large tomatoes
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 fresh mozzarella cheese sliced
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F/175℃. Finely chop the garlic and mix with the olive oil
- Brush the flatbreads with garlic oil mixture and put the flatbreads in the oven for about 5 minutes
