I love celebrating the season with Christmas music, Christmas decorations, and of course, yummy foods! I mean, you totally saw that coming. 😉

I first tasted Bacon Wrapped Dates at a party years ago and I seriously thought I bit into a taste of heaven.

It’s the most perfect little bite that is sweet, salty and ALL THE THINGS.

Back then, I thought there was something complex about this amazing little bite. And boy was I wrong.

Three simple ingredients make the most tasty little finger food ever. It doesn’t get better than this, people.

How to make Bacon Wrapped Dates?

One of my goals in life is to bring you more and more crazy delicious foods that seem like they are complicated but in reality are almost stupid easy.

And stupid easy this is indeed.

Just make sure you have the below and get ready to rock and roll!

  • Dates – wanna make life even easier? Get pitted dates!
  • Bacon
  • Pineapple
  • Toothpicks
Dates, Pineapple, bacon and toothpicks
You will need: bacon, pineapple, dates and toothpicks

First, cut each strip of bacon into three pieces. If you like your Bacon Wrapped Dates to be heavy on the bacon, feel free to cut bacon into two pieces instead of three.

Next roll bacon around each date and secure it with a toothpick.

Then slide a small piece of pineapple into the toothpick.

I love sliding in that piece of pineapple because it just makes this little appetizer even better. It provides a faint zesty, citrusy flavor that makes this absolutely perfect.

Can you make Bacon Wrapped Dates ahead of time?

Absolutely! There are two ways you can do this:

  • Cook Bacon Wrapped Dates and heat it up using a toaster oven or oven when ready. When heating this up, make sure to cover with foil so that bacon doesn’t burn.
  • Assemble ahead of time, store uncooked in refrigerator and bake when ready.
Lots of Bacon Wrapped Dates with Pineapples

So all my party people, are you ready to make and indulge in these yummy Bacon Wrapped Dates with Pineapple?

Warning: it’s hard to stop at one. Or two. 😉

  1. When I first saw this recipe, in my inbox (THANK YOU!), I thought it was the usual bacon wrapped sausage. Nope. They’re DATES. What a mix of flavors! I haven’t made this yet, and as far as I know, we aren’t going to any NYEve parties, but I’m going to make them Just Because. For us, because we are worth it. I promise to report back.
