So, a number of tips to consider when you make this French omelet:
- Invest in a good skillet or pan. If you have a good thick pan
- Bake with real butter for the best flavor
- Give your egg time to cook so preheat your skillet to medium-high and do not set the temperature too high
- Stir the egg with a spatula when you pour the egg into the pan
- Do not leave your eggs in the pan too long else they will get a bit rubbery

To make this lunch recipe you only need a handful of ingredients. Put the following ingredients on your shopping list:
- Eggs
- Mushrooms
- Butter
- Parsley
How To Make French Omelette With Mushrooms
To make this egg recipe first clean the mushrooms by brushing away dirt if needed. You do not need to wash them with water.
Cut the mushrooms into thin slices. In the meanwhile, preheat a well-seasoned cast-iron skillet or non-stick pan.
Add butter or oil to the pan and then add the mushrooms. Sauté the mushrooms until golden brown. Set aside.
Crack the eggs one by one in a bowl and whisk the eggs. Clean the skillet with a piece of kitchen paper and add butter to the pan.
When the butter has melted pour half of the egg mixture in the pan and stir while adding the eggs into the pan.
Clean the side of the pan with a spatula. If you like your French omelette a bit runny start rolling your omelette.
If you like a dry omelette turn the egg and put it on a warm plate. Put half of the mushrooms on top and sprinkle with parsley and fold the omelette in half.
Make the second omelette. Slice a piece of bread and serve.

Refrigerator – you can keep leftover omelets in the fridge for 2 to 3 days. Let them cool completely and store them in an airtight food container
Freezer – you can also store omelets in the freezer. Put them in a freezer-friendly food container. You can store them for up to a month
How To Reheat Omelets
You have several ways to reheat a leftover omelet. Be aware that when you stored them in the freezer a lot of liquid will release
- Skillet – the easiest way to warm a leftover omelet is in a skillet. Preheat the skillet to medium and let the omelet heat gradually so it will not burn
- Air Fryer – you can also reheat them in an Air Fryer. Preheat the Air Fryer to 350℉/175℃ for 3 minutes. Add the omelet and let it warm for 3-5 minutes or until warm. Flip the eggs once to heat both sides evenly
- Microwave – you can also use the microwave to reheat an omelet. Put it on a microwave-safe plate and heat for 1 minute per side or until warm
