How To Store Dinner Buns
Fresh out of the oven these fluffy dinner rolls are the best and taste delicious. However, you have several options to store them:
- Bread box – if you want to eat them in a day or two store them in a bread box, a paper bag, or a ziplock bag
- Freezer – if you want to keep them longer you can put them in a freezer-friendly container or ziplock bag for up to a couple of months
How To Make Dinner Rolls Fluffier
To make your bread recipes even fluffier, soft, and tender use the water roux or Tangzhong roux method:
- Water roux method – if you ever made a homemade sauce you use a roux as a base. This is usually made with butter, flour, and a saucepan. You need to whisk the butter and flour together into a paste that looks like mashed potatoes. Add to your recipe and bake as described.
- Tangzhong roux – is a little more elaborate than the water roux method and requires water, flour, and milk. Whisk as well and cook into a roux. Then add to a bowl of milk and whisk, add an egg, and whisk some more. Then add to your flour mixture and continue as described.
