Chicken Caesar Salad Ingredients
What is Caesar salad made of? That is quite simple if you want to make this chicken Caesar salad recipe you have to get the following ingredients on your grocery list:
- Romaine lettuce
- Chicken breast

- Egg

How To Make Chicken Caesar Salad
To make this salad you start with the lettuce. The original Caesar salad is made with romaine lettuce.
So, if you can’t buy this type of lettuce, you can easily substitute this for iceberg lettuce.
Put the egg in a pot and boil for 7 minutes. When the egg is boiled drain and put in ice-cold water. This will help peel the shell of the boil.
In the meanwhile, put the slice of bread in a toaster, and when brown cut the toast into small cubes to turn the toast into croutons. Set aside.
Bake the bacon in a skillet without a baking product as the bacon contains enough fat to get brown and crispy. Cut the bacon into small strips and put aside as well.
Then pan-fry your chicken breast in the bacon fat until brown and done. This will take about 5 minutes per side.
Wash the salad and cut the ends of the lettuce. Then shake off the water and put the lettuce in a big bowl.
Now put the salad together:
- Take Caesar salad dressing and stir it through the lettuce
- Add the bacon and the croutons
- Put the anchovies on top of the salad
- Drizzle the Caesar dressing on the salad and stir through
- Slice the chicken breast into small strips and put on top of the salad
- Decorate with egg and Parmesan cheese
How To Make Croutons
This salad tastes even better with croutons and it is very easy to make your own. You can season them before toasting the bread or you can leave them plain.
You can make croutons using a toaster but you can also make the croutons in the oven or make Air Fryer croutons.
Either slice the bread in small cubes approx. ½ inch or toast the bread and cut into cubes after toasting.
If you do not have a toaster, you can make the croutons in the oven. Preheat the broiler to get your oven nice and hot.
Put the slice of bread on a baking tray and toast underneath the broiler for about 5 minutes. Turn and toast for another 5 minutes.
