4 Ingredient Garlic Aioli

Easy to make and crazy delicious, all you’ll need is 4 simple ingredients to make your very own homemade garlic aioli!

Garlic. Mayo. Salt. Lemon. That’s it! Making garlic aioli is just as simple to make as the ingredients are to find.

Garlic Aioli is such an excellent, versatile sauce. It makes an excellent spread for burgers, dip for fries and chicken strips, or sauce for eggs. Ever had a benny with it instead of hollandaise sauce? Ridiculous.

  • garlic
  • sea salt
  • mayonnaise
  • lemon

Garlic Aioli recipe

It’s so easy! First you’ll want to get that garlic pressed down into a paste. Here’s how:

Peel the garlic cloves and then mince finely.

Minced garlic next to 1/4 tsp sea salt.

Sprinkle the sea salt over the garlic and then using the side and edge of your knife blade, crush the garlic. Alternate mincing the garlic and crushing it back and forth with the edge of your knife.

Eventually you will get a smooth garlic paste!

Add the garlic paste to a bowl with the mayonnaise. Squeeze the juice from the lemon and add 1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice to the bowl. Mix well, cover, and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving, to allow the flavour to develop.

  2. Save yourself some time by pushing the garlic through a garlic press first before crushing it with your knife.
  3. This garlic aioli will last about a week if kept in an air tight container in the fridge.
