A Super-Fast Shrimp Recipe
This is a very easy shrimp dish. Just like this shrimp and asparagus recipe, it is great for fast and easy weeknight dinners. Prawns are one of my favorite ingredients mainly because they are so fast to prepare.
Add them to a vegetable stir-fry or keto egg-fried rice. Give them some extra flavor with garlic, red peppers, or sweet soy sauce. If possible, try to devein as it doesn’t look appetizing if you see a black line on the back of the prawns.
Wash them in cold water and pat dry them before cooking or boiling. Never overcook because you will end up with rubbery shrimp.
Can You Make Garlic Shrimp Ahead?
Yes, you make these garlic shrimp ahead of time but why would you? This recipe is done in less than 10 minutes.
So, by the time you have taken out the shrimp to reheat, you could have made them fresh and they taste awesome as well.
How To Store Garlic Shrimp
There are several ways to store leftover garlic shrimp. Let them cool completely before you store them:
- Refrigerator – properly stored in an airtight food container or a bowl covered with plastic wrap can be stored for 2 or 3 days in the fridge.
- Freezer – if you want to store it long you can put the cooked shrimp in the freezer. Store it in an airtight food container
How To Reheat Lemon Garlic Shrimp
You have several ways to reheat garlic shrimp:
- Stove – you can reheat lemon garlic shrimp in a skillet. Heat them slowly and warm them through
- Oven – you can heat garlic shrimp in the oven. Preheat the oven to 300℉/150. Put them in a skillet or oven-safe bowl. Cover it with foil and heat for 10 minutes
- Air Fryer – Wrap the leftover shrimp in foil. Preheat the Air Fryer to 275℉/135℃ for 3 minutes. Put the shrimp in the Air Fryer
Serve Garlic Butter Shrimp With
You can serve these garlic butter shrimp with a lot of great side dishes, like:
- Tex Mex rice – a one-pot recipe that you can put together while you are preparing your prawns
- Mexican potatoes – these potatoes are super tasty and seasoned with some great taco seasoning
- Homemade crunchy taco shells – make corn tacos and bake crunchy in the oven
