How To Make Easy Deviled Eggs

  1. Start with boiling the eggs. Bring water to a boil and then back to a simmer before you add the eggs to the water.
  2. Boil the eggs for 7-8 minutes until the egg yolks are hard. Drain the eggs and put them in cold water so the eggshell will come off easily.

Deviled Eggs Recipe

Just like the egg salad that my mom would serve at a birthday party, deviled eggs were always part of the party. In the Netherlands, we call them filled eggs but the concept is the same. These eggs would be gone in no time flat.

Whether there would be 10 eggs or 20 eggs they would always be gone. The most important part of this recipe is to have fresh eggs but not today’s eggs.

Very fresh eggs are very difficult to peel when boiled. After boiling the eggs put them into ice-cold water straight away. This will help to get the skin off more easily. But with ultra-fresh eggs, it is very difficult to peel the skin.

The boiling of the eggs will take up most of the time. The filling is super easy to make and you will get the best-deviled eggs you ever tried.

How To Store Deviled Eggs

Put the deviled eggs in the refrigerator until ready to serve. You can put them in a plastic container or on a deep plate that you cover with cling film.

If you put them in the fridge uncovered the egg filling will dry out which you want to prevent. Another way to store deviled eggs is to store the filling in a piping bag and the halved egg whites in the fridge.

Fill the eggs when you are ready to serve.

Can You Make Deviled Eggs Ahead

If you are wondering if you can make deviled eggs ahead of time? The answer is yes you can make this egg recipe ahead. You can keep them in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

But I would make them just 1 day ahead tops.
