Ingredients

Chicken

  • 6 chicken breasts or thighs fat trimmed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 bunch green onions chopped

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Place flour in one bowl and combine milk and eggs in another bowl. Dredge chicken cubes in the flour bowl, then the egg/milk bowl, then back to the flour bowl. Shake off excess flour.
  • Heat 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil and, working in batches, fry the chicken cubes until golden and let dry on paper towels (If chicken doesn’t get fully cooked inside, you can bake it at 400 degrees until ready.
  • Meanwhile, in a saucepan on low heat, combine all ingredients and let simmer while frying chicken until sauce is thickened. When both chicken and sauce are ready, coat chicken with sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onion. Can serve with rice.
