Caesar dressing or Caesar salad dressing is one of the easiest dressing recipes you ever tried!

This caesar dressing is the best. Not too salty and just the right amount of garlic. Use on your caesar salad or any type of lettuce.

What You Need For This Recipe

To make this Caesar salad dressing recipe you need just a couple of ingredients. Put the following ingredients on your grocery list:

  • Organic mayonnaise
  • Cheese – use parmesan cheese
  • Garlic – add fresh garlic
  • Lemon juice – I prefer to use fresh lemon juice but you can use concentrated lemon juice as well
  • Dijon mustard
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper – to taste

How To Make Caesar Dressing

  1. To make this classic Caesar dressing recipe start by crushing the garlic into a soft oily paste. You can use a pestle and mortar for this. Put it in a bowl.
  2. Add the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard. Take a whisk and stir it thoroughly until it is well combined.
  3. Then it is time to add the mayonnaise to the bowl. Stir the mayonnaise through the lemon, and mustard sauce.
  4. Then grate the parmesan cheese and add it to the sauce as well. Finally, season the dressing with salt and pepper.
  5. As the Worcestershire sauce is quite salt taste and season and taste again. I only used a little pepper only.
  6. Your dressing is ready to serve.

Caesar Dressing Recipe

The easiest thing to do is to get your dressing in the store. But doing that you have no idea what is in the dressing. With this recipe, you will know exactly what is in your salad dressing.

It doesn’t contain anchovies or anchovie paste.

As we are using Worcestershire sauce that contains anchovies no additional is required. Classic Caesar salad dressing requires garlic.

To make the garlic not that strong use a pestle and mortar to crush the garlic. You will see a bit of oil appear. Keep on crushing until the garlic is completely soft and use it in your dressing.

How Long Does Your Homemade Caesar Dressing Last?

You can keep this dressing for up to 7 days in de fridge. Put the dressing in a glass jar with a lid or store it in a plastic airtight container.

The Best Anchovies Substitutes

Anchovies are really salty fish that is really soft. If you chop the anchovies really fine, it almost dissolves in the sauce.

Anchovies can be really overpowering in the sauce. You can replace the anchovies:

  • Anchovies paste
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Fish sauce
  • Capers
  • Umeboshi – if you want to make vegan dressing

How to make caesar dressing at home

Caesar Salad Dressing

Serves: 4 Prep Time: 3 minutes Cooking Time: 0 minutes

This caesar dressing is the best. Not too salty and just the right amount of garlic. Use on your caesar salad or any type of lettuce.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ΒΌ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced in a pestle
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Crush the garlic into a soft oily paste using a pestle and mortar. Put it in a bowl
  2. Add the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and the Dijon mustard. Whisk until the ingredients are well combined
  3. Add the mayonnaise to the bowl. Stir the mayonnaise through the lemon, mustard sauce
  4. Grate the parmesan cheese and add to the sauce as well. Finally, season the dressing with salt and pepper
  5. Your caesar dressing is ready to serve
