With the weather getting warmer, the need to turn off my oven increases frequently.  Of course, my need for brownies never waivers. I can always have a brownie, no matter the weather.

Your Supplies + Ingredients:

  • Crock pot ( slow cooker) + parchment paper or liners
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups/spoons
  • Saucepan
  • Rubber spatulas
  • Flour
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Salt
  • Eggs
  • Butter
  • Sugar
  • Baking powder
  • Chocolate chips

A recipe note: I used a 6 quart crock pot for these brownies. If you use another size, you may need to adjust your cooking time.

Don’t forget the ice cream and chocolate syrup to top off your brownie!

Fudgy chocolate brownies made right in your crock pot!

Prep Time 20 minutes
Cook Time 4 hours
Total Time 4 hours 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • dash of salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips + additional 1/3 cup

Instructions

  1. Line your crock pot with parchment paper or crock pot liner or spray with non stick cooking spray.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter with 1 cup of chocolate chips until smooth.  Set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, mix together flour, salt, cocoa powder and baking powder.
  4. Add in sugar, eggs, and melted butter/chocolate mixture. Mix until fully combined.  Fold in 1/3 cup of chocolate chips.
  5. Spread batter into pot.  Cover and cook on low for 3 1/2 hours. Remove lid, increase temperature to high and cook an additional 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Once done, remove crock and let it cool for 30 minutes. Then, remove brownies from crock pot and let them cool completely.
