  • Cooking cream
  • Parsley – finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper – season to taste

How To Make Pork Chops With Mushrooms

  1. Heat a skillet and add olive oil until warm. Melt the butter before you sear the pork chops for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Turn the pork chops to sear the other side as well.
  3. Cook until golden brown.
  4. Take the pork chops out of the pan, put them on a plate, and set them aside. Then take the strips of bacon and chop them up.
  5. Add these to the hot skillet and stir until the bacon is crisp.
  6. As the bacon has enough fat you do not need to add any additional oil or butter. Then add the onion and garlic and stir until the onion is soft and translucent.
  7. This will take about 3 minutes.
  8. Melt the butter with the onion mix and add the sliced mushrooms. Stir for about 3 minutes until soft. Now it is time to stir in the cooking cream.
  9. Add the wine or chicken broth whichever you prefer and bring the sauce to a simmer. Let the sauce cook until it thickens.
  10. Then you can add the chopped parsley and season with more salt and pepper to taste. Leave the sauce bubbling for another 2 minutes and stir occasionally.
  11. Return the pork chops to the pan and let it warm through for 5 minutes on medium heat. Garnish with fresh parsley and you are ready to serve the pork chops.

  • Cast iron skillet – as you made this with a skillet you can reheat them on the stovetop. Heat the skillet to medium and add the pork chops and sauce. Add some water if the sauce is really thick. Bring the sauce to a simmer and heat until warm (internal temperature 165℉/73℃)
  • Oven – you can also reheat the pork chops in the oven. Preheat the oven to 375℉/190℃ and put the pork chops in a cast iron skillet or a Dutch oven. Add the sauce as well and add some water. Stir and put in the oven. Heat for 15 minutes or until the pork chops are warm
  • Air Fryer – you can also reheat the pork chops in an Air Fryer. Put them in a cake pan with the sauce, and water and cover them with aluminum foil. Preheat the Air Fryer 350℉/175℃ for 3 minutes. Heat for 10 minutes or until warm

Ingredients

  • 3 pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Creamy Mushroom Sauce:
  • 3 slice of bacon, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 onion finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ cup dry white wine
  • 2 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • ¾ cups (200 ml) cooking cream
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper to season
