How To Make Steak Bites

  1. Cut the steaks into 2-inch cubes. Put the steak in a bowl and cover it with the cajun seasoning. Take a spoon to stir the steak, and seasoning so it is combined.
  2. Now heat your skillet until it is nice and hot. You do not want your steak to boil so do not crowd the pan.
  3. Pour in one tablespoon of olive oil. Put in your bites.
  4. Sear your steak bites for 1-2 minutes per side if you like your bites to be medium, leave it for 3 minutes if you like steak bites medium well done per side.
  5. Take the steak bites out of the pan. Now melt the butter and get all the baking bites loose. Then add the garlic and let it go soft and translucent.
  6. Put the steaks back in the pan and coat them with garlic butter so all of them are covered. Your steak is done.

Note: if you own an Air Fryer you can also make steak bites in the Air Fryer or you can turn them into a steak bite salad.

Steak Bite Recipe

You can make these steak bites with your favorite steak meat. You choose entrecote, rump steak, sirloin steak, or beefsteak which I used in this recipe.

If you use good quality meat, you can come away with pan-searing the meat for a concise period and still have meat that is as soft as butter.

That is why I like to use round steak because it hardly has any fat on it and only needs some seasoning and butter.

To sear a perfect steak, you need a hot skillet or pan. If you are on a keto or low-carb diet or you are eating gluten-free this recipe fits perfectly.

Can You Make Steak Bites Ahead?

You can make steak bites ahead but only if you like your steak well done. If you cook your steak rare or medium the inside of your steak is not heated through.

Not only will this increase the chance of bacteria developing if you reheat the steak, but it will not remain rare or medium. By cooking the steak to warm the outside it will be difficult to keep the meat rare or medium.

As this recipe is done so fast, I would advise always making it from scratch and not making it ahead of time.

Mexican steak tacos or carne asada tacos are the best. Made with soft and tender steak bites. Wrapped in a soft tortilla and lots of vegetables.

Serve Steak Bites With

You can eat it separately or you can eat it with:

  • Mashed potatoes – made in the slow cooker so it is soft and tasty.
  • Mexican fries – steak and fries a match made in heaven. These fries are nice and crunchy. You can even flavor them with the Cajun spice blend.
  • Cheesy green beans – great beans that match perfectly with steak.
  • Vegan flatbread – this soft vegan flatbread is a great combination with the steak. Add some of the garlic butter sauce and you have the ultimate fast dinner.
