These sparkling peppermint holiday cocktails are simple, delicious, and beautiful! You only need a few ingredients to craft this gorgeous holiday drink everyone will love!
One of my favorite things about the holiday season is all of the time spent with family and friends. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I am hosting both Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. Call me crazy, but I love entertaining! Allison and I are taking a well deserved vacation for the new year, but in the mean time, I’ll need a cocktail to get me through hosting two holidays in a row, who’s with me!?
This sparkling peppermint holiday cocktails are so easy to prepare. With only a few ingredients, you’ll have a beautiful beverage in no time! I’m loving the gorgeous red color and fun peppermint rim on these glasses, too!
How do I rim my glass with peppermint candies?
If you try to attach the candies with just water, it won’t work. Create a simple syrup by combining equal parts sugar and water in a small sauce pan. Heat over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved. Let it cool and dip the top of the champagne glass in the simple syrup.
Place candy canes or peppermint candies in large resealable plastic bag. Close bag. Pound with rolling pin or heavy skillet until coarsely crushed. Or, alternatively you can process in food processor using the pulse button. It’s the perfect festive touch for these sparkling peppermint holiday cocktails!
After you dip rim of glass in the simple syrup, then put crushed candies on a plate and push glass into crushed candies to lightly coat.
I used Prosecco for these sparkling peppermint holiday cocktails, but you’re more than welcome to use your favorite champagne!
Cheers to a delicious holiday season!
