How To Make BBQ Rub Seasoning

  1. Making this brown sugar rub is so easy. You only need 10 ingredients and a storage container. I prefer glass storage containers because they keep my seasonings fresh.
  2. When you make a rub or seasoning it is very important to measure your ingredients with proper measuring cups and tools.
  3. Put all of the ingredients into a large bowl and make sure you stir them for at least a minute. The main reason you stir this long is to distribute all ingredients evenly.
  4. As this BBQ rub recipe contains cayenne and black pepper you want every teaspoon or tablespoon to have the same amount of heat.
  5. Done with stirring the spices, all you have to do is transfer the rub into a glass jar and you are ready to start grilling.

The Best BBQ Seasoning Recipe

What is important about a spice mix is that it is complementary to your main ingredients. A seasoning mix or a rub should never overpower a recipe but support it. Every ingredient plays an important part.

The combination of the best spices brings out the best result. If you buy your rubs in the store or think it is difficult to make your own, give this barbecue rub a try.

This recipe has much less salt but much more flavor. You can adjust the ingredients to your liking. To get the best BBQ rub recipe you only need a limited number of ingredients.

Easy to make BBQ rub for all kind of meat, fish and vegetables on the barbecue or grill.

Why Do You Use A Dry Rub?

A dry rub is a mix of dry spices and herbs. You can rub or massage the dry rub mixture into a cut of meat before cooking or grilling.

Leave it on the meat and give it time to marinate. Even though a rub is dry it will still enhance the taste of the meat. It can also enhance the taste of the meat.

I find that using a dry rub like BBQ rub can enhance the flavor or a cheaper cut of meat.

How Much BBQ Rub Do You Need?

You can use 1 tablespoon per half a pound of meat or chicken as a starting point or 2 tablespoons per pound of meat or chicken.

It is all about personal preference but I always start with 1 tablespoon and add more if needed.

How To Store Your Barbecue Rub

To store the BBQ seasoning rub put it in an airtight glass jar. You can put the jar in your pantry or kitchen cabinet. It preserves very well and you can use it for many months.

Do not store this seasoning in bright sunlight or near a heat source. Light and warmth impact the color of the ingredients and the seasoning can turn hard.

Keep it close at hand for the next time you fire up that grill.
