This two-ingredient Nutella sauce is quick and easy to make and perfect for drizzling over ice cream, pancakes, and waffles.
Last week, in my Easy Peanut Butter Sauce post, I promised I’d be sharing some more single-serving dessert sauces this summer, and here we are for round two, Nutella Sauce for ice cream, pancakes, and waffles!
This is another dead-easy, totally delicious sauce you can make in your microwave in about 30 seconds.
Who’s excited?
The sauce is gooey, fudgy, total chocolate and hazelnut goodness that takes a boring scoop of vanilla ice cream and turns it into a dreamy Nutella Sundae.
Or pour it over some waffles or pancakes (banana pancakes or classic buttermilk pancakes), and make it a breakfast to remember.
How to Make Nutella Sauce in the Microwave
To make this Nutella sauce recipe, you’ll just need Nutella, milk, a small bowl, and a microwave.
You heat the milk in the microwave until steaming—don’t overheat or it might curdle–and then stir in your Nutella.
As you stir, the sauce will start off looking dull and broken, but keep stirring, and it will come together and turn a deep, luscious chocolatey brown.
When it reaches that point, it’s done, and it’s time to eat.
