Toasted caramelized butter cake with soft grilled honey, cinnamon and brown sugar peaches is the perfect summertime treat.

Continuing with #CookoutWeek 2018, today I have quite possibly the best dessert of the summer and it’s so versatile! Toasty grilled pound cake with soft honey cinnamon and brown sugar peaches is a light dessert in the heat of the summer and you can switch out the fruit for whatever your favorite fruit is or…… perhaps just drink the delicious honey cinnamony buttery sauce 😎 But before I get ahead of myself, let’s chat about where this deliciousness comes from.

First things first-Chef Shamy‘s slogan really says it all, “Make the World a Butter Place®.” All of their butters are free of oils and 100% real butter. They have some pretty tasty flavors like Garlic Butter with Parmesan and Basil, Strawberry Honey Butter, French Onion Butter with Asiago Cheese and more.  Be sure to use the discount code 10BUTTER10 to get 10% off Chef Shamy butters online at Amazon.

This recipe couldn’t be easier! As in five ingredients. Chef Shamy Honey Cinnamon Brown Sugar Butter, whipped cream, peaches, and pound cake (yes, I cheated and bought it from the store but you could totally make it yourself). Cinnamon and brown sugar are always a great combo but the honey really brings it home. Peaches are getting more popular in stores now that the summer is starting up. I recommend you use peaches that are not SUPER ripe otherwise they will get too soft and mushy on the grill. Some other great fruits you could use would be nectarines, pineapple, cherries, mangoes or pears.

The toasted slightly charred pound cake gets all wonderfully caramelized from the honey butter and soft sweet warm peaches soften the cake a little bit. And with some vanilla whipped cream (or even sub out the vanilla for a liquor!) and you will be in heaven. If you don’t want to melt the Chef Shamy butter in the microwave or on the stove you could certainly bring it to room temperature and spread it on the pound cake.

Toasted caramelized butter cake with soft grilled honey, cinnamon and brown sugar peaches is the perfect summertime treat.

Course: Dessert
Servings: 4 people
Ingredients
  • 3 ripe peaches
  • 1 11.5 oz store bought pound cake
  • 8 tablespoons Chef Shamy Honey Butter with Cinnamon and Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla (or Amaretto liquor)
Instructions
  1. Preheat a grill to high heat for about 15 minutes. Alternatively, you could use a grill pan or a skillet.

  2. Cut each peach into 6 large slices.

  3. Slice pound cake into 3/4 inch slices (with a serrated knife).

  4. Heat up Chef Shamy Honey Butter in saucepan for a couple minutes until fully melted.

  5. With a pastry brush, lightly brush the melted Chef Shamy butter onto all of the peach and pound cake slices (both sides). Set aside 2 tablespoons Chef Shamy melted butter.

  6. When the grill is heated, place pound cake and peaches on the grill. Cook peaches for about 1-2 minutes per side and the pound cake for about 2 minutes per side until grill marks appear and then remove from heat.

  7. Whip heavy whipping cream and vanilla until soft peaks form. Alternatively, you could add a liquor like Amaretto instead of vanilla, which would pair well with the peaches.

  8. Serve pound cake slices with peaches and whipped cream. Drizzle remaining Chef Shamy melted Honey Butter on top of dessert!
