Homemade Spaghetti & Meatballs are something you need to know. They’re perfect for summer family gatherings. They’re perfect for that cold winter night where you need a warm food hug. They’re perfect to impress that special someone. They’re perfect…for well, everything. And you need to know how to make them. I know bestie, everyone (and their nonna) has a delicious version that’s been passed down their family for eons. This just happens to be mine.
This homemade Spaghetti & Meatballs recipe is special. It’s delicious, yes. It’s easy to make, yes. It’s probably one of two dishes most synonymous with Italian cooking in the world, yes. But it’s more than that. It’s a dish that’s actually pleasurable to make. (Oh, and in case you were wondering…the other dish most synonymous to Italian cooking is pizza!)
Spaghetti & Meatballs = Good Vibes
There’s just something relaxing about the rolling of the meat, forming it into meatballs, and then letting them simmer in your homemade tomato sauce. I won’t mislead you though, bestie. This is a recipe that takes time. So, here’s what I want you to do. I want you to get everything ready on a Sunday morning – get out your favourite pot (mine is a French Oven by Le Creuset, a gift given to me by my parents shortly after my blog’s first birthday two years ago), put on some mellow background music, get cooking, and let that beautiful mind of yours wander.
And should it happen to wander somewhere sad, or unkind; know that the world can end, and begin again in the morning. Besides, if you don’t let your mind wander, how will it ever learn to find its way home?
…Or you could just turn on the TV. Don’t let me tell you what to do, bestie. It’s your kitchen. You’re the head rooster in here! (But seriously, set aside a little time. Most of it is going to be low effort on your part…but just know you can’t run off until it’s done.) Also, if you’re feeling pasta recipes today, you might want to check out my Mushroom Pesto Pappardelle and Lemon Fettuccine with Garlic Shrimps recipes.
Just a quick disclosure, bestie. The link to the French Oven by Le Creuset above is an affiliate link. This means that if you purchase through it, I will receive a small commission – not enough to buy myself a purple unicorn, but enough to help keep my lights on. Thank you!

That is an appealing set of photographs, Riz – pasta is always appealing to me and describing the task the way you do makes me want to set aside time to do it again very soon – a glass of red wine in hand, of course. I love the process, too from preparation to plating. Thanks for sharing your special spaghetti and meatball recipe with all of us besties!

Hi Denise! Thanks very much! I always try to make my photos look as appealing as possible (some days, I have more success than others! :P). There’s actually a photo that I edited and then didn’t include because it was so divisive when I checked it with a few friends – some people found it dark, and edgy, and cool…others said the lighting made the spaghetti with meatballs look totally inedible! lol!

Sometimes I forget about these great classics. Can’t wait to try it!

It’s easy to forget about a classic, but one of the best things is that they’re always there for when you remember them! I hope you enjoyed it!
