Peppermint Bark Grahams

Sharing is caring!

These peppermint bark grahams are the perfect Christmas treat. With only 4 ingredients these are simple to make and even easier to eat.

It’s that time of year y’all. Where we forget all diets and start eating all the yummy foods we’ve been dreaming about all year long. I mean how can you not with all the holiday parties and all.

Then we also receive gifts in the form of food. From fruit cake, to fudge, and sausage balls too. And then there’s some of us who are the food givers. We make you a nice little basket of calorie filled treats and send you on your merry way.

I like to mix it up with a little salty and sweet. For the salty I like to make these even better sausage balls, which according to Pinterest are a hit. Nothing says Christmas time like some sausage balls.

Why this recipe works

  • You only need 4 ingredients to make this festive tasty treat
  • No baking is require. All you need is a microwave
  • These are perfect to bring to a holiday party or to wrap up and give as a Christmas treat gift

Ingredients for peppermint bark grahams

  • Graham Crackers– just regular flavored graham crackers. This recipe only calls for one sleeve.
  • White Chocolate Chips– 1 24 ounce bag of white chocolate chips
  • Peppermint– I use about 1 16 ounce bag, but you can you use less if you want
  • Candy Melts– Drizzling green candy melts makes this treat a little more festive.

Prepping the peppermint

Take a big plastic ziploc bag and start taking each peppermint out of its individual wrapper (Photo 1) and repeat with all the peppermints (Photo 2)

After all the peppermints are unwrapped close the ziploc bag with as much air out of it (Photo 3) Take a mallet and start crushing all the peppermints in the bag until crushed into small pieces (Photo 4)

Be aware when crushing the peppermint it will put small holes in the bag because the peppermint becomes sharp when crushing it.

Take a sleeve of graham crackers and break them in half (Photo 5) until the whole sleeve is done (Photo 6)

Prepping the candy melts

Take your green candy melts (Photo 7) and add them to a ziploc bag (Photo 8). Close the ziploc bag and put in the microwave for 30 seconds. Mend the bag around and keep microwaving in 30 second intervals until melted.

Once melted take a corner of the ziploc bag and cut off just a little bit of the tip (Photo 9) this way you can drizzle the melts. Set aside for now.

Covering the grahams

Add your chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl (Photo 10) and start microwaving in 30 second intervals. Stir after each time. Once your chips are melted (Photo 11) take a graham crackers and put down in the chocolate bowl (Photo 12)

More the graham around a little and then flip it over in the chocolate (Photo 13) You can use a fork to make sure the graham is completely covered in chocolate (Photo 14) then use 2 forks to pick up the graham and set on some parchment paper (Photo 15)

Once you set your graham down on some parchment paper (Photo 16) then grab your melted candy melts and drizzle some on top of the chocolate covered graham (Photo 17)

Then sprinkle the crushed peppermint on top (Photo 18). Then repeat steps 12-18 for all the graham crackers. Let set to cool before consuming.

Tips for this recipe

  • Don’t overheat your white chocolate. This is easy to do. That’s why you only heat it in 30 second intervals and stir it around after each time. If you do overheat, it isn’t ruined. You just have to wait to let it cool which can take a little time.
  • Use a ziploc baggie to drizzle the green candy melts. No need for bakers bags because one snip in a corner of a ziploc bag works just as well. Make the cut small. You can always cut more off if needed.
  • Make sure the bowl you are melting your white chocolate in is wide enough to fit your halved graham cracker in.
  • If at any point your white chocolate or candy melts start to harden up just throw them in the microwave again no more than 30 seconds.
