As you will see, it is super simple to make guacamole at home.

Homemade Guacamole Ingredients

Begin by gathering, and preparing, your ingredients. You will need:

  • 4 avocados, seeded and scooped from peel
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • ¼ cup red onion, diced
  • ¼ cup white onion, diced
  • ½ of a jalapeno, seeded and finely diced*
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp cilantro, finely chopped
  • ½ tbsp salt
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup refried beans

The first step is to mash up those beautiful avocados. You can use a large fork or a wire whisk to mash those puppies up.

Then, add your other ingredients to the bowl and stir to mix well.

Transfer guac into your serving dish and get ready to create your football field masterpiece.

Spoon sour cream into a plastic baggie and cut a very small hole in the corner. Use baggie to pipe sour cream onto guacamole to make yard lines.

Then, repeat the process with refried beans to create an outline of a football and fill in the football shape.

Use the back of a spoon to smooth over the beans to smooth out the football.

Tip: For a special treat, warm-up store-bought tortilla chips in the oven for a few minutes. Better yet, take the time to cut up some corn tortillas, brush with oil, and bake to make your tortilla chips. Either way, warm chips are always better!

Easy Guacamole Football

Football guacamole is a must have for any football party. Plus, it is easy to make with fresh ingredients!

Ingredients
 

  • 4 avocados seeded and scooped from peel
  • 1 tomato diced
  • ¼ cup red onion diced
  • ¼ cup white onion diced
  • ½ of a jalapeno seeded and finely diced*
  • 2 Tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 Tablespoons cilantro finely chopped
  • ½ Tablespoons salt
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup refried beans

Instructions

  • Mash avocados in a large bowl with a fork or pastry cutter. Adjust thickness is your preference.
  • Add tomatoes, onions, jalapeno, salt, lime juice, and cilantro. Mix thoroughly.
  • Transfer to serving dish.
  • Spoon sour cream into a plastic baggie and cut a very small hole in the corner. Use baggie to pipe lines on the guacamole to make it look like a football field. Be sure to save a bit of sour cream for the final step. 
  • Spoon refried beans into a second baggie, again cutting the corner. Pipe the shape of a football on top of the guac, and then fill in the football shape. Use the back of a spoon to smooth over the football.  
  • Use the remaining sour cream to add the stitching to the football.  Serve immediately.

*Adjust level of spiciness to your liking by using more less jalapeno.
