How To Make Enchilada Seasoning Mix

  1. Making this enchilada seasoning recipe could not be easier. If you checked the chili powder and fajitas seasoning mix recipes you can see that the important part is to measure all the ingredients correctly.
  2. As I did not have any cumin powder, I used my pestle and mortar to turn cumin into cumin powder. It only takes a minute or so to turn these spices into powder.
  3. Then put all of the other spices in the pestle and mortar and stir thoroughly to make sure the mix is well combined.
  4. Now that is all you need to do.

How To Store Enchilada Seasoning Mix

To store the enchilada spice blend put it in an airtight glass jar. Then put the seasoning mix in your kitchen cabinet and you will be able to use this mix for months.

It will not go bad. As long as the seasoning doesn’t get warm, this will have an impact on the flavor and taste.

Seasoning Serving Size

The recommended serving size per pound of beef, chicken, or fish is 2 tablespoons. However, I recommend always tasting per tablespoon of seasoning.

Add the seasoning, stir thoroughly, taste, and add more if required.

      Hi Ahicks,

I would start with half a cup of water. Cook the meat and when it gets dry add another 1/2 cup.

      Jackie,

You can use enchilada seasoning for a enchilada dip. Take a look at this fish taco sauce that uses taco seasoning and sour cream or this quesadilla dip made with chili powder.
