  3. Put the meat into a plastic resealable bag and pour the marinade into the bag. Zip it close and make sure you cover the meat before you put it into the fridge.
  4. Then leave it in the fridge for at least 1 hour (more if possible) and turn the bag midway through the marinading time. When you pan-fry the beef keep the marinade, you will need it later on.
  5. Heat a cast-iron skillet with olive oil until very and pan-fry the beef for 2-3 minutes per side. Turn the steak and pan fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Do not move the steak around let it sit in the pan. Take some aluminum foil, wrap the steak in the foil, and set it aside. Let the beef relax for 10 minutes before you cut it into small strips and serve.
  7. Preheat the oven to 400℉/200℃. Wrap 6 soft fajitas tortillas in some tin foil and let them warm for 10 minutes. At the same time reheat the cast iron skillet and add some oil.
  8. Slice the bell peppers and onions. Put all of the bell peppers in the pan and let them go soft. Then add the onion and stir through the pan.

Marinaded Steak Fajitas Recipe

When you make grilled steak fajitas you need to start with good quality steak because you want to eat soft and tender meat. But even if you can’t get the best quality cut a good marinade like Mexican steak marinade will help.

You see a marinade needs to balance sweet and sour or an acidic ingredient. When the beef has tough muscle fibers you need some acidity to break these down and make it more tender.

The same applies when adding salt to your beef. It brings out the natural juiciness and makes it more tender. This recipe is done in no time but it needs some preparation.

Especially when letting the meat marinate. The longer you can leave the meat in the marinade the better it gets. You can even make the marinade the night before putting the meat in it and put it in the fridge so it will taste even better.
