The idea to create edible peanut butter cookie dough actually came from a health food store. When I was in Cleveland, this local health food store sold edible peanut butter cookie dough for energy. I am not going to lie, that edible cookie dough was really good.

Cookie Dough Balls

Instead of just making a batch of edible peanut butter cookie dough, I decided to make these Reese’s Pieces cookie dough and form them into cookie dough balls. This way I can take the cookie dough with me to the gym when I need some energy. 

When do you need energy? When you are working out, so these cookie dough balls are perfect to bring with you!

Reese’s Pieces 

When you think of edible cookie dough, you think chocolate chip. I like chocolate chip cookie dough too, but I wanted to use Reese’s Pieces instead. I also wanted this eggless cookie dough to also be an energy snack. So edible peanut butter cookie dough is better for that.

{Reeses Pieces} Cookie Dough Balls Recipe

Reese's Pieces Cookie Dough Balls are edible cookie dough for one. This edible peanut butter cookie dough is the perfect way to get some energy when you need it. Best of these cookie dough balls have Reese's Pieces in them!

Total Time 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch salt
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons Reeses Pieces

Instructions

  1. In your mixer's bowl, combine peanut butter, butter, and sugars; cream on high speed for 3 to 4 minutes, or until light and fluffy.
  2. Add vanilla and salt and continue to mix until well combined.
  3. Set your mixer on low and gradually add flour, one tablespoon at a time, beating until thoroughly incorporated.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips by hand.
  5. Form 1-inch diameter balls by rolling the dough in between the palms of your hands.
  6. Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
  7. ENJOY!

Notes

You can also freeze the dough balls for up to 3 months.
